To members and friends of Anesthesia Business Academy,

It is with sincere sadness that I must close the doors on Anesthesia Business Academy, effective February 12, 2019.

My great-grandson was terribly abused by his father and passed away last week.  It has been a heartbreaking situation for me and my family, making it impossible to concentrate on anything else.  When I recover, I intend to devote much of my time and energy to bring about justice for him.

Anesthesia Business Academy was a dream of mine and I am pleased with its success and the opportunity to assist so many of my colleagues and students learn more about the business of anesthesiology.  I have made many friends along the way and hope we will continue to stay in touch.

I will continue to lecture around the country on business and legal issues and will be available for some limited consulting work.  My love for this profession has never waivered and I hope to continue to do my part in sharing my knowledge and experience and to advocate for CRNAs.

Administrative functions in the dissolution of the Academy will be performed by the IT Department and my executive assistant.

Thank you for understanding.  Hug your loved ones close to you.
